A little reading to begin with
A SAMPLE FROM CHAPTER ONEWrite what the output should help someone do. Explain a process, draft a message, compare supplied options, or organise notes are clearer jobs than help me with everything. Name the intended reader and what they already know.
Choose a completion test before prompting. A useful announcement may need date, location, action, and a contact route. A comparison may need the same criteria for every option. This test lets you identify a failed requirement without judging the answer only by tone.
Keep the first task small enough to review. If it combines research, advice, drafting, and external action, split those parts. A draft does not authorise sending; a recommendation does not establish that an option is suitable. The prompt should make the immediate job concrete while preserving the decision you will make after checking the output.
