A SAMPLE FROM CHAPTER ONE

Choose what the image must communicate and where it will appear. A card illustration, a wall print, and a small profile image require different crops and detail. Write the intended viewer, mood, subject, and output shape before naming an artistic style.

Separate essential elements from flexible ones. For a fictional garden club card, the essential subject might be two people sharing seedlings; the background colour can vary. A brief with every detail fixed may be difficult to satisfy and hard to inspect.

Avoid promising exact text inside a generated picture. If wording must be accurate, consider adding it later in an editor you understand. Record size and printing needs separately. The image's purpose should guide your evaluation, so you do not select a dramatic result that is unusable for the actual project.
