Who is responsible for your data

This notice describes purchases and support enquiries. Enter card details only on Stripe’s hosted checkout. Do not send card details or sensitive information through our contact form.

Information we use and why

For orders, we use order references, email addresses, purchased guide identifiers, payment status, amounts, consent records, and necessary billing information to process and fulfil orders. The legal basis is performance of a contract and steps taken at your request before entering it.

We will keep required accounting records to meet legal obligations. Limited technical records may be used to secure the service and investigate fraud under legitimate interests, balanced against your rights.

If you contact support, we will use your contact details and message to answer you and resolve the issue. Do not send medical records or other sensitive personal information. We do not request health data to buy health-category guides.

Payments and service providers

Card details are entered on Stripe’s hosted checkout; the store does not store card numbers or security codes. Stripe processes payment information under its own applicable privacy terms and may act as an independent controller for some purposes.

The public site uses Voteq hosting, the application backend uses Sites with Cloudflare infrastructure, and private PDFs use Cloudflare R2. Necessary order and technical data are processed by those services. Contact and order email use the Voteq-hosted Stackmail mailbox. No advertising networks or mailing-list tools are connected.

Retention and overseas processing

We retain necessary order, payment and consent records for accounting, customer support and legal obligations. Private download links expire after seven days, which does not delete the order record. Contact us with a data-retention or deletion request.

Service providers may process information outside the UK. Contact us for information about the providers and applicable international-transfer safeguards.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct, erase, restrict, or receive a portable copy of your data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. If we rely on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting processing already lawfully carried out.

Email contact@pdfguidewebsite.com to make a request. We normally respond within one month, subject to lawful extensions or exceptions, and may need proportionate information to confirm identity. You may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Marketing, children, and updates

No newsletter signup or advertising tracking is enabled. Cloudflare Web Analytics provides aggregate website usage and performance statistics. Cloudflare receives technical visit information to produce these statistics and does not track individual visitors across websites. Google Analytics also receives public-page visit information and may use first-party cookies to recognise visits. Google signals, advertising personalisation and automatic form measurement are disabled. See https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites for how Google processes this information. Order pages, checkout, contact pages and URLs containing query strings or fragments are excluded from analytics. Use the button at the end of the privacy or cookie page to disable these statistics. Buying a guide will not automatically sign you up for marketing. The store is aimed at adult purchasers and does not knowingly collect children’s data for purchases.

We do not make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects through this storefront. Stripe may operate its own fraud checks. We will update this notice when our actual practices change.
