A little reading to begin with

A SAMPLE FROM CHAPTER ONE

Choose the first physical place your plan will cover. It might be an airport arrivals hall, a rail station exit or a ferry terminal. Record its proper name and the relevant terminal or station information from the actual provider. A city name alone is too broad: two arrival points bearing that name may require entirely different onward journeys.

Then define the finish. “At the hotel” may mean outside a building, at reception or inside a room after check-in. Choose the point at which you consider the handoff complete. Ask the accommodation about its actual arrival procedure for your booking and expected local time. A confirmed reservation does not by itself explain how a late arrival will be received or where an apartment key is collected.

Between those endpoints, list the smallest useful sequence: arrive at the named point, locate the onward departure or accepted pickup, complete the transport leg and follow the confirmed accommodation procedure. Note which details remain unresolved. Include practical access or communication questions you choose to raise, without assuming assistance has been arranged. This boundary gives the workbook a job it can finish. It also prevents a whole holiday itinerary from hiding the one unanswered question that matters when you step off the first service. Keep later sightseeing, packing and long-term travel ambitions outside this page. You can connect other plans later without making this first sequence difficult to retrieve.
